Top-eight hopefuls GWS and the Western Bulldogs will fight it out in Canberra on Saturday night, as the hosts look to turn a corner on their poor recent run against their modern-day rivals.
The Giants (4-2, 134.6%) hit a bump in the road last week with a low-scoring loss to Adelaide last week but will feel confident playing at Manuka Oval — a venue they’ve won their past four matches at.
Their in-form opponents the Bulldogs (3-3, 110%) couldn’t have been any more different to GWS last week with a thumping win, but they will trot out for the first time this season without star forward Sam Darcy.

The Dogs have won seven of their past eight games against the Giants, including their last two.
Adam Kingsley’s GWS has made just one change for the game, with a fit Jesse Hogan coming in for omitted forward Callum Brown.
And despite a 71-point belting of St Kilda last Sunday night, Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge made a selection statement, dropping veteran defender Liam Jones in favour of uncapped backman Jedd Busslinger.
The injured duo of Darcy and Lachie McNeil join Jones in going out of the side, as forward duo James Harmes and Laitham Vandermeer return on Saturday night.
The first bounce at Manuka Oval is set for 7:35pm local time. Watch it live on Fox Footy via Foxtel (ch. 504) or streaming on Kayo Sports.
