Storm halfback Jahrome Hughes took out the men’s gong last year while Roosters star Olivia Kernick took out the women’s award.

The red carpet kicks off at 7.30pm AEST with the awards ceremony to commence at 8.00pm AEST.

HOW DOES THE VOTING FORMAT WORK?

Ahead of the 2023 season the NRL made several changes to the Dally M voting process, with two independent judges handing out six points each on a 3-2-1 basis.

It could mean that a player who is five votes behind in the final round of the NRL regular season could overtake the leader if they manage to pull in six votes.

So, players can receive a maximum of six votes a game or poll anywhere between zero and five votes for one game.

MEN’S DALLY M LEADERBOARD AFTER ROUND 12

Luke Metcalf (Warriors) – 31

Will Kennedy (Sharks) – 29

James Tedesco (Roosters) – 28

Terrell May (Tigers) – 27

TEAM OF THE YEAR

Judges will also vote for their best player in each respective position throughout the season, deciding who is named.

However, if a player comes in the top three of the overall leaderboard, they automatically earn selection in their respective position.

Players who are suspended for two or more games also become ineligible to earn a Dally M nomination.
