The Australian Prime Minister’s XI side was scheduled to face India in a second day/night game in Canberra on Saturday, but unfortunately played was abandoned due to rain.

The toss was set to take place at 2.10pm AEDT with the first ball at 2.40pm but a steady drizzle meant the pitch stayed under covers, with the game initially delayed and later abandoned at 6.45pm.
Both teams have agreed to play 50 overs per side, with the action to resume at 2.40pm on Sunday.
A shower or two is forecast on Sunday, with a 70 per cent chance of rain and zero to six millimetres forecast by the Bureau of Meteorology. There is a chance of a thunderstorm in the morning and afternoon.
Speaking to Fox Cricket ahead of Saturday’s play, NSW Blues all-rounder Jack Edwards said he was “very proud” to be named captain of the PM’s XI side.

“I’m really looking forward to getting down there and being able to play in the Prime Minister’s XI. It’s always a great honour,” he said.
“I’m sure if we can bowl (India) out cheaply and stop them having any time in the middle, that would be fantastic.”
While the Australian PM’s XI side features plenty of well-known names including Scott Boland, Ollie Davies, Matt Renshaw and teenage sensation Sam Konstas, there are other less familiar players well worth watching.
