A potentially concerning moment involving Mitch Moses has come to light amid concerns the Eels star is playing injured.

Journalist Michael Carayannis pointed out Moses limping significantly after setting up an Eels try in the heavy loss to Penrith.
It should be a worrying sight given Moses’ recent run with injuries and much worse off the Eels are when the star No. 7 isn’t in the line up.
“We saw him set up a try against Penrith and then he limped back to kick the goal. I spoke with Parramatta officials today and they are adamant there is nothing wrong with him but he’s definitely ginger,” Carayannis revealed on NRL360.
While the loss to Penrith dropped them back down to earth, it has been a solid season for the Eels so far having split their four games.
Moses has been sound if not better, but Carayannis believes there’s definitely room for improvement.
“He hasn’t had a bad year but when you look at a lot of pre-season predictions, they thought he’d be the Dally M player of the year. He hasn’t reached those heights yet,” Carayannis said.
“His running game is his number one threat but he just looks hampered.
“When Mitch is at his best, he’s a run first player and we know he can be an elite seven but I don’t think we’ve seen enough of it this year.”

Despite the concerns around Moses, NRL360 host Braith Anasta believes the Eels half is set for a massive game against the Tigers on Easter Monday.
Anasta likes what he’s seen from the Eels so far in 2026, particularly in attack.
“I think the Eels are very close. I like the way they look in attack. They have to improve their defence but I think they are very close,” he said.
“If there is a game where he’s going to breakout this season, it’ll be this weekend.
“It’s an opportunity for Mitch to have a breakout game and for the Eels to hit their straps.”
