CHARLIE CURNOW (Carlton)
Scott Gullan’s Brisbane offer
“I’m giving you a first-round pick this year and a future first rounder — two first rounders and Eric Hipwood. Done deal, sign now. (Hipwood is a) Premiership player, proven on the big stage.”
Lauren Wood’s Gold Coast offer
“I’m doing my best Damien Hardwick. You want to go to Queensland, Charlie? Come to the pristine beaches of the Gold Coast … not only can I give you Ben King, we figure he’s maybe going to come back to Victoria at some point anyway. You can have a second-round pick and a future first rounder.”
Jon Ralph’s Carlton offer to Sydney
“If I was Carlton, I’d be looking at Sydney. I want Braeden Campbell as that half-back distributor, a first rounder this year and Ollie Florent, who let’s face it, you don’t play too much anyway. He is steak knives. I’d look at Braeden Campbell, a first rounder and maybe they’d throw in Logan McDonald.”
Scott Gullan’s Geelong offer
“What about Geelong? He loves Torquay. I’ll give you Ollie Henry, Jhye Clark, who was a first-round pick and improving, Mitch Knevitt, a good midfielder, they need depth, and a first-round pick.”
NASIAH WANGANEEN-MILERA (St Kilda)
Jon Ralph’s Port Adelaide offer
“I’m trying to lowball Gubby and SOS (Saints list bosses Graeme Allen and Stephen Silvagni) — and they don’t really act well to that. But I am saying, what about Todd Marshall and Miles Bergman? I know Miles said he wanted to stay. But you know what, Miles, you’re probably surplus to requirements. You love Kenny more than Josh Carr. What about Marshall and Bergman? Even though Marshall is coming off an Achilles (injury).”
Scott Gullan’s Port Adelaide offer
“I’ll give you Brownlow medallist Ollie Wines, Ollie Lord, Ivan Soldo as a backup to TDK (Tom De Koning) and a first-round pick.”
HARLEY REID (West Coast)
Jon Ralph’s Hawthorn offer
“It just has to involve Josh Weddle, doesn’t it? And Pick 10. And that’s all I’m offering. Speaking of steak knives, I’m putting Sam Frost into the bargain. Because he might play 100 games at the Eagle … we’d haggle about (adding a future first rounder) and then we’d find a way to get a future second rounder.”
Lauren Wood’s St Kilda offer
“Harley, not only are we throwing the big dollars, nothing infuriates me more about trade period with future first-round picks and points and this and that. Let’s go ‘straighty 180’, let’s just do the straight swap, I’ll give you ‘Nas’ (Wanganeen-Milera, you give me Harley back. Maybe I’ll throw in Jack Steele.”
