According to The Sydney Morning Herald, Eels officials have been in contact with Iongi as of Tuesday morning after contacting the NRL integrity unit, as is expected of any club under the league’s current rules when there is a potential integrity issue.
In the first image, Iongi appears to be holding a pre-rolled paper in one hand while there is an unknown substance in what looks to be a blue herb grinder on the table.
In another image published by Code Sports, Iongi appears to be in a bathtub about to light a rolled cigarette.
The date when the images were taken is unknown at this stage.
Iongi had a breakout year in his first season with the Eels in 2025 after joining the club from Penrith, impressing enough to earn a long-term extension which will keep him at Parramatta until 2030.
Foxsports.com.au reached out to the Eels and the NRL for comment.
