Both skippers, Kalyn Ponga and James Tedesco, will play as well as a raft of rep talent including Bradman Best, Dane Gagai, Lindsay Collins and Angus Crichton, all of whom missed last weekend’s trials.
The Roosters are set to roll with the new-look halves pairing of Sandon Smith and Chad Townsend to start the season. They didn’t do a whole heap in the loss to the Dragons last week, but get another game to form a strong partnership before the meaningful fixtures begin.

While the Chooks’ halves may not be completely settled, it doesn’t compare to the situation at Newcastle.
The Knights rolled out the most halves pairings last year than any other club in the NRL.
Ponga says the halves puzzle is still yet to be sorted, but for the second straight trial match, Jack Cogger and exciting young gun Fletcher Sharpe will lead the team around.
