Melbourne is searching for its first this season against a Suns team out to prove its credentials in a telling MCG clash on Saturday afternoon.
The Demons (0-2, 69.3%) were dominated by North Melbourne by 59 points last week, having swung the axe at selection including Steven May, Jake Melksham and top draftee Harvey Langford returning.
The Suns (1-0, 277.6%), who are coming off their bye, have three handy inclusions in Mac Andrew, Jed Walter, Sam Flanders as the club looks to end a 12-game losing streak to Melbourne by an average margin of 40 points that dates back to 2015.

“You’ve got to knock off a team that keeps beating you up, Melbourne is vulnerable,” Saints great Leigh Montagna said on First Crack Preview.
“I want (the Suns) to make a statement and say: ‘Hey Melbourne, you’re no longer bullying us. We’re here, we’re no longer the kids on the block. We’re in this competition’.
“Make a statement at the MCG.”
There were no late changes for either side, with Jake Melksham (Melbourne) and Jake Rogers (Gold Coast) named the starting subs.
This match gets underway at 1.20pm AEDT from the MCG.
