Bulldogs flyer Josh Addo-Carr has revealed he would consider a shock code switch to join Rugby Australia should the rival code make an approach.
The 28-year-old is widely considered one of the fastest players in the NRL and is confident he’d “carve up” the 15-man code.
Speaking on the ‘Let’s Trot’ podcast, Addo-Carr revealed he would consider switching allegiances but also admitted rugby union’s popularity has dropped.

“Yeah, I reckon I’d carve up,” Addo-Carr said.
“100 per cent (I’d make the switch). I reckon it would be fun. Meeting new people, travelling the world. I’d give it a crack, bro. Yeah, why not?
“When I grew up the Wallabies were massive and I don’t want to be disrespectful to the players in the team now but I used to know everyone in the side.
“I don’t know what it is, but you just don’t see them as much.”
Several high-profile outside backs have previously made a cross-code switch, with Wendell Sailor, Lote Tuqiri and Matt Rogers some of the most prominent names.

Meanwhile, Marika Koroibete also stamped his mark on the competition at the Storm before playing 59 Tests for the Wallabies to date.
Addo-Carr, who hosts the podcast alongside former Panthers winger Josh Mansour, also spoke about winger’s involvement in both codes.
Mansour asked if he would be “bored” making only “eight to 10 runs” compared to an average of 15 in rugby league.
“I think I get that only now,” Addo-Carr quipped.
Rugby Australia have already made one major signing from the NRL, acquiring the services of Roosters young gun Joseph Suaalii on a deal worth a reported $5m.
