A senior Carlton staffer is on leave and facing an internal investigation into complaints from staff over their conduct.
News Corp reported the Blues were dealing with a “management matter” relating to the person’s conduct in recent weeks.
The Age followed up, saying a whistleblower had raised concerns with both Carlton and the AFL, resulting in the league integrity unit getting involved.

That report stated the staffer was on scheduled leave coinciding with the investigation, and the AFL is “comfortable that Carlton was capable of dealing with the inquiry”.
Carlton said in a statement: “The club can confirm it has been dealing with a management matter.
“While the club is not in a position to provide commentary on individual employees, the club wants to make clear this matter is in no way related to any gender-based misconduct and any such insinuations are inaccurate and misleading.
“The club’s first priority is, and always will be, its people and this is at the forefront on the club’s handling of this matter.”
