When: Wednesday, 11 March 2026, 15.30 CET
Where: Daphne Caruana Galizia press conference room (WEISS N -1/201), European Parliament in Strasbourg and via Interactio platfrom.
With: General rapporteur for the 2027 Budget, NilsUšakovs (S&D, LV).

Interpretation will be provided in English, French, Germany,Spanish and Latvian.

The press conference will also be live streamed.

On Wednesday, Parliament will vote on its guidelines for next year’s budget. MEPs debate the topic onTuesday.The guidelines put the focus on prosperity through competitiveness, strengthen economic,social and territorial cohesion, create and protect quality jobs, and enhance security and defence capabilities. The guidelines kick-start the annual EU budget procedure on the Parliament’s side, and feed into the Commission’s 2027 budget proposal which is dueto be unveiled in June 2026.
