Australia have batted impressively on their way to 7-253 after their 50 overs against India in the ICC Under 19s World Cup final.
Their total is the highest ever recorded by a team in the final in the history of the tournament, beating out England’s 3-242 back in 1998.
Skipper Hugh Weibgen won the toss and elected to bat first in Benoni, South Africa in a move that initially backfired.

The Aussies lost gun opener Sam Konstas for a duck, being bowled by spearhead quick Raj Limbani in the third over.
But Weibgen, alongside the in-form Harry Dixon steadied the ship, combining for a 78-run partnership before the captain departed for 48 from 66 balls.
Dixon (42) soon followed and was unable to add another half century to his tally, having recorded three across the tournament.
Harjas Singh and Ryan Hicks were able to steady the ship before Hicks departed 66 runs later, tallying 20 off 25 balls.
Meanwhile Singh, who had struggled throughout the tournament shone bright, belted 55 off 64 balls that included three sixes.
Before the final the middle order batsmen had only scored 49 runs at an average of 8.1.
Oliver Peake then carried the Aussies all the way to the end of the innings, finishing unbeaten on 46 from 43 balls in a well measured knock.
Now the pace quartet of Callum Vidler, Mahli Beardman, Tom Straker and Charlie Anderson will be hoping to create havoc early before Raf MacMillan contributes with his off-spin.
The senior Aussie side has won two straight finals against India, the WTC Championship plus the one-day World Cup crown, while the juniors are trying to claim their first crown since 2010, when Mitchell Marsh led the charge.
Twice they’ve faced India in the final and fallen short, with Australia having not beaten the powerhouse nation at the Under-19 World Cup since 1998 (six consecutive losses. India is going for its sixth title from nine final appearances.
