In the player-voted award, the Crows co-captain was voted as the players’ MVP, after being voted the league’s MVP on Monday night — the AFLW’s equivalent of the Brownlow Medal.

The victory saw her pip two-time winner and Kangaroos star Jasmine Garner for the gong, at the exclusive event in North Melbourne.
West Coast’s Ella Roberts rounded out the podium, with her cross-town rival Mim Strom and North’s Ashleigh Riddell rounding out the top five.
Marinoff joins club legends Erin Phillips (2017 & 2019) and Andrew McLeod (2001) as fellow recipients of the award, in a season where she averaged 31 disposals and 12 tackles a game.
The 27-year-old was also nominated by the cohort of players as the best captain in the league; a cherry on top in what has been a season filled with accolades.
Awards for Adelaide didn’t stop there though, with Chelsea Randall awarded the league’s Most Courageous Player for an incredible sixth time; equalling the most number of wins by anyone for the award with Glenn Archer in the mid-2000s.

The title now means that Randall has won the award six times in her nine seasons in the competition.
Amid a team filled with young talent, Port Adelaide’s Sineah Goody was crowned the AFLPA’s Best First-Year Player, nudging out emerging stars Amy Gaylor (Essendon) and Lucy Cronin (Collingwood).
The midfielder averaged 13 disposals, 5.3 tackles and 3 marks a game across a 14-game span.

MVP Voting Process
Voting for the AFLW’s MVP is a two-stage process that begins with each player voting for their three teammates that they consider to have been the most valuable this season.
From there, each club’s votes are tallied to form a nomination shortlist, with 54 players across the 18 teams nominated for the award (three per club).
In the second round of voting, all players vote for their MVP on a 3, 2, 1 basis from the nominees of the 17 other clubs.
The votes are then tallied, and the player with the highest score wins the honour of MVP.
Note: Players cannot vote for their own teammates in stage two of the process.
A similar process is followed for Best First-Year Player and Most Courageous, with every captain automatically nominated for the Best Captain Award.
