GameShadow has today announced the release of the fourth version of its PC application, GameShadow Pulse, delivering the most recent updates to the gaming community, alerting them to all the news and viral content relevant to the biggest games in the build up to their release.
GameShadow serves a community of over two and half million users and supports just fewer than three thousand titles. Working with their community, GameShadow Pulse delivers content ranging from patches to demos, movies and mods, as well as paid-for content such as expansion packs, full games and merchandise to fans; directly from the publishers.
Mark Townsend, director at GameShadow commented: “We are delighted to take GameShadow to the next level for our incredibly loyal community. Pulse, the latest version of the application, is now more intelligent than ever and ensures that the gaming community are not kept in the dark when publishers release any updates on a new title.
“The new version now provides very high speed downloads from a global content delivery network, without any queuing or throttling. Also using proprietary fingerprint technology GameShadow can filter out updates that are not relevant to the user, this saves time and confusion and can prevent user errors that may break their games.”
The free app, which gamers download to their desktop, represents the next generation of providing users immediate access to all news, demos and trailers for their favourite games across all platforms, including PC, PS3 and Xbox360.
Mark continued: “Not only does the application intelligently track the PC and console games a user has installed, but we now have our own ‘follow’ button which allows us to deliver the content gamers are looking for easier than before. GameShadow is the ultimate application for any gamer wanting to monitor the market. With publishers producing so many titles across so many platforms, GameShadow removes the tedium from scouring the Internet for updates, delivering your desired content directly to your desktop at zero cost.”
