Plus Dayne Zorko’s incredible resurrection as two teammates get scores of nine.

Foxfooty.com.au rates every Brisbane player out of 10 from its preliminary final win over Collingwood.

1. KAI LOHMANN

Had Isaac Quaynor for company. Limped off in the third term for assessment on his ankle. Reasonably quiet overall, but bobbed up late with a sweet four-quarter goal had 17 touches. 5

3. JASPA FLETCHER

Split his time between Pies half-forwards likes Lachie Schultz and Beau McCreery. A big fourth-quarter tackle brought Lions fans to their feet and finished with 18 disposals. 5

4. CALLUM AH CHEE

Rotated between wing and half-forward. Produced an epic rundown tackle on Jordan De Goey that ultimately led to a Ty Gallop goal. Six of his 19 touches led to Lions scores. 5

5. JOSH DUNKLEY

Stood next to Jordan De Goey before shifting onto Nick Daicos. Set the tone defensively with four first-quarter tackles — finished with 10 for the game — to go with a goal. A little ankle scare midway through the match, but played out the four quarters. 6

6. HUGH McCLUGGAGE

Hugh McColossal. Fox Footy’s Jack Riewoldt declaared it was “one of the most complete games in an AFL final”. Had Steele Sidebottom run with him for the first quarter — and after nine disposals, six contested possessions, four score involvements and three clearances, that tag was dropped. Continued to rack up the ball in the second term with limited impact before stepping up again in the third term, which included a classy goal. Finished with 37 disposals, 14 contested possessions and 10 clearances. 9

7. JARROD BERRY

Started on a wing next to Jack Crisp and racked up 11 disposals primarily in the defensive half, but his night ended in the second term with a nasty dislocated shoulder. 5

8. WILL ASHCROFT

Very quiet first half but roared to life in the third term with two brilliant goals, including a freakish soccer out of mid air. Of his 20 touches, nine ended up in Lions scores. Fox Footy’s David King declared: “He was the one that lit the fire at stoppages … What a young superstar we have on our hands.” 8

10. LEVI ASHCROFT

Showed composure and maturity beyond his years in his seven-disposal first term, which included a lovely goal assist for Ty Gallop. Then had a poor second term, going statless and giving away a 50m penalty that led to a Tim Membrey goal. Finished with 14 touches and five tackles. 5

13. LOGAN MORRIS

Darcy Moore went to him at the first bounce. Took a towering mark deep inside 50 that led to his first goal then pulled off the most beautiful pass to Charlie Cameron deep in the last quarter that set up a goal. His field kicking was superb. Finished with 13 disposals. 7

Cox & Zorko CLASH after opening goal | 00:44

15. DAYNE ZORKO

What a rollercoaster of a game. Lowest-rated player in the first half, highest-rated in the second. An absolute nightmare start. Gave away a blocking free kick to Mason Cox that led to Collingwood’s first goal before two poor kicks in the second term gifted majors to Jamie Elliott and Tim Membrey. A high free kick then meant Collingwood’s first four goals were all directly courtesy of Zorko clangers. But made amends in the second half somewhat, including a long-range fourth quarter goal that brought a big celebration from his coach. Finished with 28 disposals, nine inside 50s, eight tackles, seven intercepts and 718m gained. A ridiculous rollercoaster, but what a response. 6

16. CAM RAYNER

Cometh the moment, cometh Cam. Harry Perryman followed him for most of the game. Zero impact in the first half, prompting the likes of David King and Jonathan Brown to ask him for a lift … and he delivered. Bobbed up midway through the third term with a powerful goal from the pocket, missed a second minutes later before converting a set-shot after a towering mark just before three quarter-time. Fox Footy’s Jack Riewoldt said Rayner was “absolutely built for finals”, while co-commentator David King declared: “He just swings games, that’s what he does.” 6

“RATTLED”: Double 50 pen – Umpire down! | 00:46

20. SAM MARSHALL

On a wing next to Dan Houston and Roan Steele. Started well with eight first-term disposals. Covered plenty of ground between the arcs and constantly provided the Lions with ample drive. Finished with 17 touches and five score involvements. 6

22. TY GALLOP

Big time Ty! Game No.5? More like game No.105. The highest-rated Lion on the ground. Manned up by Billy Frampton. Competed well in the air early and was rewarded with a first-quarter goal. Then showed brilliant composure in the third term to pull off a special second major before pulling off an unbelievable contested mark and set-shot goal. So three goals from 11 disposals and three contested marks … Joe who? Fox Footy’s Jack Riewoldt said: “He’s matured over the last six weeks since debuting and he gives them something different. He’s turned up in a really important moment. David King added: “Talk about timing your run. It looks like has the confidence in his own self that he belongs.” 8

23. CHARLIE CAMERON

Manned up by Jeremy Howe and Brayden Maynard. Looked dangerous when the ball was in his area, but just couldn’t buy a goal … until late in the last quarter when he snapped a classy left-foot major. Had 15 touches and five tackles. 6

Frame by Frame! “Impossible to overturn” | 00:42

27. DARCY GARDINER

This is a nice story. Went to Brody Mihocek and was excellent behind the ball, blanketing his opponent while also producing handy spoils, smothers and intercepts. Finished with 17 disposals, seven intercepts and seven marks. After missing out on last year’s flag, he’ll be there on Grand Final day this year. 7

31. HARRIS ANDREWS

The captain led from the front. Loosely manned up on Mason Cox … with an emphasis on loosely. David King declared: “He’s not going to Mason Cox, he’s going to the footy.” Ensured Collingwood’s defence remained under siege in the third term with three intercept marks. Finished with 18 disposals and 13 marks. Mark Howard said: “He’s been unstoppable all day.” 8

32. DARCY FORT

Probably broke even with Darcy Cameron in the ruck. Had eight touches, six tackles and five clearances. 5

33. ZAC BAILEY

Another powerful finals performance. Started in the middle and had a strong first term with one goal from nine disposals and three clearances. Then pulled off a brilliant forward 50 stoppage goal in the third term. Had 21 disposals, 10 contested possessions and seven clearances. 8

Magic Jamie snags GREATEST finals mark? | 00:42

35. RYAN LESTER

Rotated through various Pies forwards, mainly Pat Lipinski and Tim Membrey. A solid performance with 14 touche and five intercepts. 6

37. BRANDON STARCEVICH

A fascinating match-up with Jamie Elliott. Started the game well, but Elliott took over in the third quarter, including a spectacular mark where he used Starcevich as a step ladder. Num

38. BRUCE REVILLE

Started as the sub and injected into the game midway through the second term. Cries of “Bruuuucceeee” consistently reverberated around the ground in that second half, so certainly had an impact with 10 touches. 5

44. DARCY WILMOT

Some footballer, this guy. Rotated through various Pies forwards, mainly Pat Lipinski and Tim Membrey, but it was what he did offensively that broke the Magpies. Explosive start to the game 11 touches and three intercepts. Lost his mind by giving away a 50m penalty in the second term, but made amends in the third with a powerful running display and shrewd intercept work. Had 25 touches, nine intercepts, eight marks and seven inside 50s. 9

46. OSCAR McINERNEY

The Big O is Big Dance-bound! Started forward with Billy Frampton and rotated with Darcy Fort through the ruck. Not a huge prelim, but just his presence on the field on Saturday will be significant. 4
