THURSDAY MAY 7
Dolphins vs Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at Suncorp Stadium, 7.50pm AEST
Dolphins team: 1. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow 2. Jamayne Isaako 3. Jack Bostock 4. Herbie Farnworth 5. Selwyn Cobbo 6. Brad Schneider 7. Isaiya Katoa 8. Thomas Flegler 9. Max Plath 10. Francis Molo 11. Connelly Lemuelu 12. Kulikefu Finefeuiaki 13. Morgan Knowles 14. Ray Stone 15. Tom Gilbert 16. Felise Kaufusi 17. Oryn Keeley 18. Kodi Nikorima 19. Jeremy Marshall-King 20. Trai Fuller 21. Tevita Naufahu 22. Lewis Symonds
Analysis: Kodi Nikorima and Jeremy Marshall-King have been named to return on the bench and could be late inclusions. Brad Schneider has been named to partner Isaiya Katoa in the halves again. Marshall-King is bidding for his first game of the season after injuring his knee in a freak accident at home in January, with Kurt Donoghoe dropping out. If Marshall-King is fit, he may have to return on the bench because Max Plath is in red hot form and has been mentioned as a Maroons bolter for Origin I. Ray Stone and Brad Schneider would likely make way.
Bulldogs team: 1. Connor Tracey 2. Jonathan Sua 3. Bronson Xerri 4. Stephen Crichton 5. Enari Tuala 6. Matt Burton 7. Lachlan Galvin 8. Samuel Hughes 9. Bailey Hayward 10. Leo Thompson 11. Sitili Tupouniua 12. Jacob Preston 13. Jaeman Salmon 14. Alekolasimi Jones 15. Sean O’Sullivan 16. Harry Hayes 17. Josh Curran 19. Marcelo Montoya 20. Lipoi Hopoi 21. Jethro Rinakama 22. Gordon Chan Kum Tong 23. Logan Spinks
Analysis: Cameron Ciraldo has resisted calls to shake up his spine, despite the side’s form slump. Sitili Tupouniua has been named in the second row, with Josh Curran on the bench, but the pair could switch places as they did last week. Kurt Mann (head knock) and Jake Turpin (biceps) have been ruled out, with Harry Hayes and Sean O’Sullivan coming onto the bench. There were calls for a backline shake-up with Lachlan Galvin shifting to five-eighth, O’Sullivan to halfback and Matt Burton to lock or the centres, but Ciraldo has shown he is reluctant to pull the trigger despite winning just one of his last six games. Connor Tracey was reportedly in danger of being dropped despite signing a contract extension, but has held his place. The Bulldogs can’t afford another loss or Ciraldo may have to shake up his side to keep their slim top four hopes alive.

FRIDAY MAY 8
Sydney Roosters vs Gold Coast Titans at Polytec Stadium, 6.00pm AEST
Roosters team: 1. James Tedesco 2. Daniel Tupou 3. Hugo Savala 4. Robert Toia 5. Cody Ramsey 6. Daly Cherry-Evans 7. Sam Walker 8. Naufahu Whyte 9. Reece Robson 10. Spencer Leniu 11. Angus Crichton 12. Siua Wong 13. Victor Radley 14. Connor Watson 15. Egan Butcher 16. Nat Butcher 17. Salesi Foketi 18. Taylor Losalu 19. Benaiah Ioelu 20. Fetalaiga Pauga 21. Reece Foley 22. Billy Smith
Analysis: Angus Crichton has been named in the back row despite suffering a medial ligament injury against the Broncos. Comeback hero Cody Ramsey will start on the wing in place of Mark Nawaqanitawase (ankle). Spencer Leniu comes into the starting side for Lindsay Collins (concussion), while Taylor Losalu and Benaiah Ioelu join the bench. Ramsey will earn his first start in the NRL since 2022 after his heroic comeback from Ulcerative Colitis after a solid return off the bench in the win over the Broncos. If Crichton is ruled out, Trent Robinson could opt to shift Victor Radley to the second row with Naufahu Whyte shifting to lock and Nat Butcher starting at prop as he has done in the past. Reece Robson is starting to get back to his best ahead of Origin and his combination with Daly Cherry-Evans, James Tedesco and Sam Walker is growing every week.
Titans team: 1. Keano Kini 2. Jenson Taumoepeau 3. Jojo Fifita 4. AJ Brimson 5. Phillip Sami 6. Jayden Campbell 7. Zane Harrison 8. Klese Haas 9. Oliver Pascoe 10. Tino Fa’asuamaleaui 11. Chris Randall 12. Beau Fermor 13. Cooper Bai 14. Kurtis Morrin 15. Moeaki Fotuaika 16. Josh Patston 17. Arama Hau 18. Jaylan De Groot 19. Sam Verrills 20. Lachlan Ilias 21. Adam Christensen 22. Bodhi Sharpley
Analysis: Josh Hannay has made the bold call to shake up his halves, with Zane Harrison earnign a debut at halfback and Jayden Campbell shifting to five-eighth, while Lachlan Ilias has been dropped. Jensen Taumoepeau has been named on the wing for an NRL debut in place of Siale Faeamani (knee). Klese Haas, hooker Oliver Pascoe and lock Cooper Bai have all been named to start after coming off the bench last week. Chris Randall shifts to the back row, with Arama Hau, Kurtis Morrin and Sam Verrills dropping back to the bench. The call to play Harrison is massive given Hannay said he would not rush the development of the prodigious talent, but the side looks more balanced. Ilias is a halfback, who lacks the running game to play five-eighth and Campbell is a ball runner and better at five-eighth or fullback than he is at halfback despite his brilliance and skill. Dropping Verrills for Pascoe is interesting given the former has not been offered an extension and is being forced out of the club next season. AJ Brimson could put his hand up for an Origin recall with some more impressive displays at centre, especially against Toia, who is a lock for one spot.
North Queensland Cowboys vs Parramatta Eels at Queensland Country Bank Stadium, 8.00pm AEST
Cowboys team: 1. Scott Drinkwater 2. Braidon Burns 3. Jaxon Purdue 4. Tomas Chester 5. Zac Laybutt 6. Jake Clifford 7. Tom Dearden 8. Coen Hess 9. Reed Mahoney 10. Jason Taumalolo 11. Heilum Luki 12. Sam McIntyre 13. Reuben Cotter 14. Soni Luke 15. Griffin Neame 16. Thomas Mikaele 17. Matthew Lodge 18. Xavier Kerrisk 19. Mason Barber 20. Kai O’Donnell 21. Kaiden Lahrs 22. Robert Derby
Analysis: Sam McIntyre replaces injured Origin star Jeremiah Nanai (shoulder) in the only change to the starting side. It is a massive blow for Nanai, who is an incumbent Queensland star, despite saying his preference was to focus on the Cowboys after missing most of the year with a shoulder injury he re-aggravated against the Bulldogs. Jason Taumalolo will become the Cowboys most capped player, surpassing Johnathan Thurston with his 295th game. Emerging hooker Xavier Kerrisk is in line to make his NRL debut after being named on the bench.
Eels team: 1. Joash Papali’i 2. Brian Kelly 3. Jordan Samrani 4. Sean Russell 5. Josh Addo-Carr 6. Ronald Volkman 7. Mitchell Moses 8. Luca Moretti 9. Tallyn Da Silva 10. Junior Paulo 11. Kelma Tuilagi 12. Jack Williams 13. Jack de Belin 14. Dylan Walker 15. Saxon Pryke 16. Toni Mataele 17. Charlie Guymer 18. Apa Twidle 19. Teancum Brown 20. Jezaiah Funa-Luta 21. Araz Nanva 22. Lorenzo Talataina
Analysis: Tallyn Da Silva will start at hooker with Ryley Smith sidelined with a sternum injury. This is a massive opportunity for Da Silva, who left the Tigers because he didn’t want to play off the bench behind skipper Api Koroisau, but has gone on to do the same thing behind Smith his whole Eels career. Da Silva has been earmarked as a potential Blues star of the future and finally gets his chance to show what he has got as an NRL starter. Will Penisini is out due to a head knock, with Jordan Samrani replacing him in the centres. Jonah Pezet was suspended for a match in NSW Cup, so Jason Ryles has been forced to stick with Ronald Volkman as Mitchell Moses’ halves partner.

SATURDAY MAY 9
St George Illawarra Dragons vs Newcastle Knights at WIN Stadium, 3.00pm AEST
Dragons team: 1. Clinton Gutherson 2. Setu Tu 3. Moses Suli 4. Valentine Holmes 5. Mathew Feagai 6. Daniel Atkinson 7. Kade Reed 8. Emre Guler 9. Damien Cook 10. Toby Couchman 11. Dylan Egan 12. Ryan Couchman 13. Hamish Stewart 14. Josh Kerr 15. Loko Jnr Pasifiki Tonga 16. Blake Lawrie 17. Jacob Halangahu 18. Kyle Flanagan 19. Tyrell Sloan 20. Lyhkan King-Togia 21. Hame Sele 22. Christian Tuipulotu
Analysis: Co-captain Clint Gutherson returns from a hamstring injury at fullback, with Tyrell Sloan dropping to the bench. Dean Young has stuck solid with rookie No.7 Kade Reed and Daniel Atkinson in the halves. There were calls for Kyle Flanagan to be named at five-eighth due to Atkinson’s struggles, but he remains on the bench. However, Flanagan could get time at hooker if Damien Cook needs a break, as Jacob Liddle remains sidelined. Dylan Egan has been named to return from an ACL injury suffered last year, after making a successful return in NSW Cup. It is a timely boost with Luciano Leilua suspended. Christian Tuipulotu (knee) is a chance to return after being named in the reserves.
Knights team: 1. Kalyn Ponga 2. Dominic Young 3. Dane Gagai 4. Bradman Best 5. Greg Marzhew 6. Fletcher Sharpe 7. Dylan Brown 8. Jacob Saifiti 9. Phoenix Crossland 10. Trey Mooney 11. Dylan Lucas 12. Jermaine McEwen 13. Mathew Croker 14. Sandon Smith 15. Tyson Frizell 16. Pasami Saulo 17. Francis Manuleleua 18. Harrison Graham 19. Fletcher Hunt 20. Cody Hopwood 21. Kyle McCarthy 22. James Schiller
Analysis: Justin Holbrook has made no changes to the starting side that beat Souths with Harrison Graham the only new face on the bench. Kalyn Ponga, Bradman Best, Greg Marzhew and Dylan Lucas all returned last week in a much needed boost to their backline and edge, which helped them beat the in form Rabbitohs in a high-scoring thriller.
South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Cronulla Sharks at Accor Stadium, 5:30pm AEST
Rabbitohs team: 1. Jye Gray 2. Alex Johnston 3. Latrell Mitchell 4. Campbell Graham 5. Edward Kosi 6. Cody Walker 7. Ashton Ward 8. Keaon Koloamatangi 9. Bronson Garlick 10. Sean Keppie 11. Euan Aitken 12. Tallis Duncan 13. Cameron Murray 14. Matthew Dufty 15. Lachlan Hubner 16. Jamie Humphreys 17. Tevita Tatola 18. Peter Mamouzelos 19. Adam Elliott 20. Liam Le Blanc 21. Moala Graham-Taufa 22. Thomas Fletcher
Analysis: An interesting decision from Wayne Bennett sees Jamie Humphreys drop to the bench, with Ashton Ward named at halfback in a big shake-up. Elsewhere, Campbell Graham moves into the centres after Jack Wigton suffered an arm injury, with Warriors recruit Ed Kosi filling the void on the wing. In a big inclusion, Jye Gray has been named at fullback and will take over from Matt Dufty despite his scintillating form. Dufty retains a spot on the pine, while Keaon Koloamatangi has been named in the front row, with Euan Aitken winning a starting back row spot. Tevita Tatola drops back to the bench.
Sharks team: 1. William Kennedy 2. Mawene Hiroti 3. Siosifa Talakai 4. KL Iro 5. Samuel Stonestreet 6. Braydon Trindall 7. Nicho Hynes 8. Addin Fonua-Blake 9. Blayke Brailey 10. Toby Rudolf 11. Briton Nikora 12. Teig Wilton 13. Cameron McInnes 14. Jesse Colquhoun 15. Billy Burns 16. Oregon Kaufusi 17. Thomas Hazelton 18. Hohepa Puru 19. Braden Hamlin-Uele 20. Riley Jones 21. Niwhai Puru 22. Chris Veaila
Analysis: No changes for the Sharks, with Jesse Ramien not named as he battles a knee injury. Braden Hamlin-Uele has been named on the bench in the only change on the pine.
Manly Sea Eagles vs Brisbane Broncos at 4 Pines Park, 7:35pm AEST
Sea Eagles team: 1. Tolutau Koula 2. Jason Saab 3. Clayton Faulalo 4. Reuben Garrick 5. Lehi Hopoate 6. Luke Brooks 7. Jamal Fogarty 8. Taniela Paseka 9. Brandon Wakeham 10. Ethan Bullemor 11. Haumole Olakau’atu 12. Ben Trbojevic 13. Jake Trbojevic 14. Jake Simpkin 15. Nathan Brown 16. Jackson Shereb 17. Siosiua Taukeiaho 18. Blake Wilson 19. Joey Walsh 20. Josh Feledy 21. Zach Dockar-Clay 22. Simione Laiafi
Analysis: After he was omitted due to a groin injury last weekend, Jamal Fogarty returns with Joey Walsh reverting to the bench despite his impressive debut. Kobe Hetherington has been sidelined due to a head knock which sees Ethan Bullemor earn a promotion to the starting side at prop.
Broncos team: 1. Reece Walsh 2. Josiah Karapani 3. Jesse Arthars 4. Gehamat Shibasaki 5. Antonio Verhoeven 6. Ezra Mam 7. Thomas Duffy 8. Ben Talty 9. Cory Paix 10. Jack Gosiewski 11. Xavier Willison 12. Jordan Riki 13. Patrick Carrigan 14. Josh Rogers 15. Preston Riki 16. Va’a Semu 17. Aublix Tawha 18. Hayze Perham 19. Phillip Coates 20. Jaiyden Hunt 21. Ben Hunt 22. Kane Bradley
Analysis: Adam Reynolds has been sidelined due to a head knock, which sees Tom Duffy take his place at halfback. With Deine Mariner (leg) and Kotoni Staggs (suspension) dropping out of the side, Jesse Arthars earns a promotion from the bench to the starting side while Antonio Verhoeven has been called in on the wing. Preston Riki returns to the bench after serving a one-game ban while Ben Hunt has been named on the extended bench and could make a shock return from a knee injury.

Shawn Blore 12. Ativalu Lisati 13. Trent Loiero 14. Trent Toelau 15. Joe Chan 16. Davvy Moale 17. Cooper Clarke 18. Stanley Huen 19. Manaia Waitere 20. Jack Hetherington 21. Lazarus Vaalepu 22. Analysis: After a rough outing against the Sharks, Benji Marshall has reshaped his backline. Starford To’a drops out and is replaced by Patrick Herbert, while Faaletino Tavana has also been dropped in place of Sunia Turuva. With Jahream Bula still sidelined, Heath Mason has been named at fullback while Jock Madden replaces Adam Doueihi the superstar halfback suffered a dislocated shoulder. In a big back row boost, Kai Pearce-Paul slots back into the edge forward position, offsetting the loss of Samuela Fainu who is facing 12 weeks on the sidelines due to a foot injury. Sione Fainu has won the remaining edge spot, while Mavrik Geyer has been named on the six-man bench and could make his club debut.
Canberra Raiders vs Penrith Panthers at GIO Stadium, 4:05pm AEST
Raiders team: 1. Kaeo Weekes 2. Savelio Tamale 3. Sebastian Kris 4. Matthew Timoko 5. Jed Stuart 6. Ethan Strange 7. Ethan Sanders 8. Corey Horsburgh 9. Tom Starling 10. Joseph Tapine 11. Joe Roddy is sidelined due to a hand injury in a straight swap for Hudson Young, who has served his suspension. Jayden Brailey has been named at lock, but a game day swap with Morgan Smithies could be on the cards.
Panthers team: 1. Dylan Edwards 2. Thomas Jenkins 3. Paul Alamoti 4. Casey McLean 5. Brian To’o 6. Blaize Talagi 7. Nathan Cleary 8. Moses Leota 9. Freddy Lussick 10. Lindsay Smith 11. He is eyeing a return from a knee injury in what would be his first appearance of the season. Jack Cogger has been suspended and has been replaced by Jack Cole as the bench utility.
Bye: New Zealand Warriors
